Thirteen artists. Thirteen shades of blue. One slow, handmade palette created across time and distance.
Each year, I invite artists from around the world to co-create a special watercolor palette — and for 2025, we chose blue. Each artist chose their pigment, and I hand-mulled every single one with my glass muller on a glass slab — slowly adjusting the mixture until they felt it matched their vision.
Once the Blues had cured, I made swatches — and each artist then came up with a name to match their blue.
The result is The Blue Palette of Time 2025:
A full set of 13 handcrafted, eco-friendly watercolors in half pans — each one telling its own story. Some are soft and quiet. Others are wild and granulating. All of them are made slowly and intentionally, from raw pigment and natural ingredients in the studio in Denmark.
