The Cosmotop Spin brushes from da Vinci are kind of famous for one reason: they hold an insane amount of water for a synthetic brush.
If you love that “big juicy wash” feeling without needing a natural hair brush, this one is a really good option. It loads up fast, holds pigment well, and releases color in a controlled way, so you can do both soft washes and more precise strokes without the brush suddenly dumping everything at once like a toddler with a juice box.
It also has great spring. Meaning it snaps back into shape nicely, which makes it satisfying to paint with. Especially if you like florals, leaves, details, or anything where you need both flow and control.
And the handle deserves a little applause too. It’s hexagonal, so it does not roll away while you’re painting (which honestly should be illegal for brushes to do in the first place). It also gives a secure grip, so your hand does not get tired as quickly.
These brushes are handmade, so small variations in the handle are completely normal. Consider it proof that a human was involved.
