Vintage French Encaustique Moderne Tin

A wonderfully worn round French metal tin for Encaustique Moderne, an old wax polish.

The faded red, ochre and deep brown design has a beautiful graphic quality, with an illustrated chair in the center and layers of scratches, rust and patina across the surface. It feels like a small piece of an old French workshop or household.
