This collab is with Anneli of @annnelisjournaling.
She paints the most beautiful snowdrops, and I love the way her work feels both calm and alive at the same time. There is something really special about snowdrops when they’re painted well. They don’t need drama. They just show up. Quiet and brave. Like winter hasn’t fully let go yet, but spring is already standing there clearing its throat.
I made the watercolors.
Anneli painted the snowdrops.
And she did it in a way that makes you want to paint again immediately.
If you want to see the full process, Anneli also made a YouTube video where she paints the snowdrops using these colors. The link is here:

The 3 colors are:
#5 Sap Green
#32 Dark Burnt Umber
#243 The Wind
It’s a small combination, but it has a lot of range. You can keep it light and airy, or push it into depth and contrast without losing that fresh early spring feeling. The pigments move beautifully, and you get that satisfying watercolor behavior where things blend, separate, and do their own thing on paper.
Which is exactly what snowdrops deserve.
