This menopause Collection is for those moments where you feel a bit wiser than before, more tired than expected, and strangely uninterested in anyone’s nonsense, including your own, at least on some days.
Things start showing themselves in a different way. You notice your reactions sooner. Your tolerance shifts. Your body has opinions you did not ask for. And at some point you think, okay. So this is where we are now.
These watercolors are happy to meet you right there. In the middle of it. With the parts that are mildly annoying, slightly confusing, or hard to explain without rolling your eyes. These watercolors do not need you to figure anything out first.
Working with them gives your hands something real to do while the rest of you catches up at its own speed. No insights required and no conclusions expected. Just color, water, and the oddly comforting act of paying attention to something that moves on the paper.
Each color is handmade from raw pigment, without toxins or unnecessary additives. They are complex, a bit unpredictable, and grounded in the material itself. They shift and separate depending on water, paper, and mood, which might explain why they feel familiar so quickly.
This palette makes room for how things actually feel right now, including the ongoing search for your car keys, which are once again not where you left them, and may or may not be in the fridge...
This year, I named them:
#360 Unexpected Confidence fueled by Being Done
#361 Irritated but Still Being Polite
#362 Hormones Are Clearly in Charge Today
#363 Irritated before Anything happens
#364 Wild and Wilted
#365 Wide awake for Absolutely no Reason
#366 No Longer Interested in Being Agreeable
#367 I’m Fine (This Statement Is Inaccurate)
#368 Still Hot, Still Sweating, Still Here
#369 Looking for my glasses while Wearing them
#370 Stronger Boundaries without any Desire to Explain them
#371 I Still Have No Clue Where My Car Keys Are
I loved making these watercolors. Not because it calms anything at all down, but because making something with your hands is sometimes the most reasonable thing to do in the middle of this hormonal chaos.
Much love, Mette
