Denim Wash - no. 145

Denim Wash feels like the exact moment your brain goes quiet.

It’s that soft blue you get when the sky is not trying to impress anyone, and the sea is just doing its job in the background. A little worn in, a little cloudy, a little “I’ve seen things”. Like your favorite old denim shirt that somehow still looks good even though it has been through way too many washes and probably a few emotional breakdowns.

In a light wash it turns into this airy, misty blue that’s perfect for soft skies, distant water, pale shadows, quiet backgrounds, and anything that needs atmosphere without screaming for attention. Push it darker and it becomes more stormy and grounded, like deep ocean blues with a grey edge, the kind of color that makes everything around it look more believable.

It layers beautifully, it behaves, and it has that slightly nostalgic vibe that makes you want to paint slow and not talk to anyone for a while.
