This collaboration has been a long time in the making, and I have been ridiculously excited to finally tell you about it.
I have loved ArtFoamies for a long time, so getting to create a small botanical collection together has been one of those projects I have had to keep quiet about while very much not feeling quiet about it internally.
The collection includes Rose, Gerbera, Chrysanthemum, Tulip, Peony, Lily, Hydrangea - and a Vase, because apparently seven flowers still needed somewhere to live. You can preorder each of them individually.
They are large, detailed, slightly addictive botanical stamps made for watercolor, gouache, printing ink, handmade paper, old book pages, envelopes, journals, collage and all the other pieces of paper we keep because they are “too nice to use”.
Which is, of course, exactly why they should be used.
I love that the same stamp can look completely different depending on the color, paper and pressure. One print can look delicate and botanical, the next slightly messy and old, and the third like something you accidentally made while doing something else and now like much better than the thing you were actually trying to make.
That is usually my favorite kind of art.
The Art Foamies are sold individually, so you can choose your favorite flower. Or several favorites. Or eventually discover that you somehow own all eight. I am not here to judge.
P.S. I also made six Color Cubes especially for the stamp collection — two colors in each cube, chosen to work beautifully with the flowers. You can find them here: https://arttobasic.com/products/color-cubes-artfoamies
Please note: these are available for preorder. I will ship all preorder orders as soon as the stamps arrive.
Almost all of the beautiful photos and creative work featuring ArtFoamies are by the talented Susanne Randers of @mitkrearum.
