Stardust Crimson - No. 157

Stardust Crimson is that kind of red that instantly makes you paint like you mean it. It’s deep crimson with a slightly rebellious berry vibe, and it granulates in a way that makes the wash look alive, like it’s whispering little secrets into the paper while you’re trying to be a serious artist.

It reminds me of those moments in childhood when you got hold of something you definitely weren’t supposed to use, like a lipstick from your mom’s drawer or a cherry popsicle right before you were told to “be careful,” and then five minutes later you looked like a small crime scene with great confidence. This color has that exact energy. Bold, juicy, slightly dramatic, and absolutely unapologetic.

In a painting it gives you velvety shadows, rich florals, deep accents, and that satisfying contrast when you want your piece to feel warm, intense, and just a little bit dangerous in a very elegant way.
