Blue Egg is a pale, chalky blue with that “old wall in a French courtyard” energy. Titanium White makes it soft and velvety, while the eggshells add a dry, grainy texture that turns every wash into something that looks like it has lived a life. It is not a flat pastel. It is a textured surface pretending to be a color.
On paper it settles, breaks, and granulates in a quiet but very confident way, like it knows you were going to overwork the painting and it refuses to cooperate. Perfect for stone, clouds, misty distance, architectural shadows, and all the parts of a painting where you want atmosphere without drama.
Basically: it is a soft blue, but with crunch and attitude.
