This @mitkrearum (My Creative Space) Collection is the 12 watercolors (half pans) that Susanne fell in love with when she first started using Art to Basic handmade watercolors.

And honestly, I get it. Susanne has that kind of eye where she doesn’t pick colors because they’re “pretty.” She picks them because they work. Because they behave. Because they tell the truth on paper. This set is basically what happens when a mixed media artist builds a palette the way a chef builds a pantry. Practical. Delicious. Slightly obsessive. In the best way.

I’m really proud to present this @mitkrearum Collection, and I hope you’ll love it too.

Caput Mortuum – no. 2
Hummingbird Green – no. 6
Pistachio Green – no. 13
Magenta Shimmer – no. 24
Ancient Green Earth – no. 25
Lemon Studio Yellow – no. 38
Green Egg – no. 41
Pink Panther – no. 64
Juicy Malachite – no. 68
Serenity – no. 70
Candy Floss (by Susanne herself) – no. 101
Knockout Rose (by Rae of @raemissigman) – no. 104

Now let me tell you why this collection makes so much sense, because it’s not random.

It has everything Susanne’s world needs. Mossy greens that can be layered forever without going muddy. A lemon yellow that wakes up any page. Those pinks that are not sweet, but confident. And then the slightly strange, soulful ones like Caput Mortuum and Ancient Green Earth that make your work look like you’ve lived a life and you have receipts.

This set is playful, botanical, a little magical, and still grounded enough to be used daily, which is exactly Susanne.

About Susanne of @mitkrearum

Susanne Randers, the creative mind behind @mitkrearum (which means “my creative space” in Danish), is one of those artists who makes you want to tidy your desk, buy a new sketchbook, and start over like a new person. She creates books, collages, botanical inks, journals, and mixed media pieces, all shaped by nature and her own very distinctive visual language.

She works from her Magical Garden Studio (yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds), and her creativity has that flower power soul vibe, but with the kind of discipline and craftsmanship that makes it real. Her creative journey took a beautiful turn in 2013, when she reconnected with her artistic spark, and since then she has gone all in. Mood boards. Daily doodles. Hand-bound art journals she calls “mood books.” And lately, she’s also been teaching at Fodder School 3, which honestly feels exactly right, because she is one of those people who naturally passes creativity on to others without making it complicated.

Why you should follow her

If you need inspiration that feels motivating without being loud, Susanne is your person. Her Instagram is like stepping into a calm, colorful world where paper matters, plants matter, and creativity is allowed to be both playful and serious at the same time.

Follow her if you want to remember that making art isn’t about being impressive. It’s about being in it.
