Lavender Blue - No. 47

Lavender Blue is what happens when lavender and blue decide to stop being sensible and just make something beautiful together.

It has that cool blue calm, but with a soft lavender twist that makes it feel slightly unexpected, like a sky that cannot decide if it wants to be daytime or dreamtime. And I love that. Because this is not a “basic wash and move on” kind of color. This is the one you reach for when you want your painting to feel a little more interesting without having to overthink it.

Use it for moody florals, shadows that still feel light, distant mountains, winter skies, and anything where you want softness without losing character. It also plays extremely well with granulating blues, because it brings that quiet purple undertone that makes everything look more intentional, even if you were improvising. Which, let’s be honest, is most of us.

Lavender Blue is for the artists who enjoy that moment where the color lands on the paper and you go: “Oh. That’s nice.”
