Havana Ocher is the kind of warm earthy yellow that makes a painting look like it knows what it’s doing.
It’s not bright. It’s not cute. It’s just solid, warm, and extremely useful.
It sits somewhere between sun-baked walls, dry clay, and old parchment. In a light wash it gives you a soft golden beige. Push it and it turns into a deeper ocher brown that works perfectly for soil, stone, skin warmth, buildings, and those background layers that need to feel earthy rather than 'painted'.
It also mixes like a dream. Add blue and you get muted greens that look believable. Add red and you get warm terracottas. Add a dark and it instantly becomes shadow friendly without going grey and boring.
If you paint anything even remotely organic, Havana Ocher will end up all over your palette.
Lightfastness: 6/6 (Excellent)
