Empower - no. 165

Empower Dark Purple is the kind of purple that doesn’t ask for permission.

It has that deep, velvety twilight feeling where everything becomes quieter, richer, and slightly more dramatic in the best possible way. Not “princess purple.” More like “I have depth and I know it” purple.

On paper it moves beautifully, and it can do two very different jobs depending on how you use it. With more water it becomes soft, dusty, and poetic, like an old velvet curtain caught in daylight. With less water it turns intense and dark, almost like ink, and suddenly your painting has shadows, structure, and mood.

This is a color for contrast. For flower centers, deep folds, night skies, berries, shadows in skin tones, or those moments where your painting needs a little more backbone. And it’s also ridiculously good for mixing, because it can deepen blues, cool down reds, and add sophistication to anything it touches without stealing the show.

Basically. If you ever wished your painting could wear eyeliner and still look classy, this is the one.
