The Colineo brush from da Vinci is a synthetic brush made as a vegan alternative to a Kolinsky brush, and it actually does the job really well.
It holds water beautifully, has a nice spring to it, and gives you good control without feeling stiff. The color comes off evenly, so you can focus on painting instead of fighting your brush.
