Copenhagen is the kind of blue that looks polite, but absolutely isn’t.
It’s a deep Nordic teal-blue with heavy granulation, so the second it hits wet paper it starts doing its own little city life: pigment gathers, splits, settles, and creates texture like it’s building bikes lanes and judging your outfit at the same time.
In a light wash it’s soft and coastal. Push it and it turns into proper harbour-blue, the kind that can handle storm clouds, sea shadows, winter skies, and that moody “I’m fine” vibe we’re all so good at up here.
Use it for seascapes, denim, shadows, mountains, and background layers where you want the painting to feel expensive without being dramatic.
