Clever Egg - No. 123

Clever Egg is a reddish, chalky mauve that sits somewhere between dusty rose, clay, and soft brick. It has that slightly dry, matte look that makes watercolor feel more “material” and less shiny.

In a light wash it becomes a pale muted pink with a quiet brown undertone.
When you build it up, it shifts into a deeper, earthier rose that stays soft and controlled. It layers beautifully and gives you that velvety depth in petals, fabrics, skin tones, and background structure.

This is a very useful pink. It's the one you reach for when you want warmth and character.
