Chicken - no. 76

Chicken is a warm grey with that slightly dusty, earthy tone that makes everything look more natural. It’s soft, calm, and extremely useful, because it works as a neutral.

In a light wash it becomes a pale feather grey that’s perfect for backgrounds, distance, and soft shadow transitions. Push it and it turns into a deeper warm grey that gives structure. It also mixes nicely and takes the edge off brighter colors immediately.

This is the kind of color you don’t think you need… until you have it. Then it ends up everywhere.
