If you want to use the Alchemy Stone for encaustic techniques, it’s worth knowing that traditional encaustic wax includes resin for strength. Our Alchemy Stones don’t contain resin, which means the wax stays softer and more responsive. That softness is part of the charm, but if you want a harder, more durable encaustic surface, you can mix the beeswax with damar resin or another natural resin yourself.
