Driftwood Memories Palette
Imagine a quiet walk along the shoreline where your head finally goes quiet too, and the only thing you have to decide is whether you pick up that weird perfect shell, or pretend you’re an adult and keep walking.
The Driftwood Memories palette is my love letter to those small sea moments. The muted treasures. The worn, salt kissed beauty. The colors you only notice when you actually stop trying to hurry somewhere. Each shade is a little memory in half pan form, and yes, it’s allowed to feel something over a color called Smoky Rosewood.
These are coastal tones with depth. Sea air, weathered wood, soft rust, moss in the shade, and that warm glow you get when the sun hits something old and makes it look valuable again.
#322 Golden Rust
Golden Rust is what happens when amber warmth meets time. It’s a glowing mix of golden yellow, weathered ochre, and that faint reddish patina you see on old metal left by the sea. It looks aged in a beautiful way, like something you found in the sand that feels important even though you have no idea what it used to be.
Use it for warm light, vintage textures, old walls, driftwood shadows, sandy details, and that “everything looks better at golden hour” vibe.
#321 Crimson Petal
Crimson Petal is a velvety crimson with softness and depth, like a rose that is still holding its color even as the light fades. It has gentle granulation, so it doesn’t feel flat or digital. It feels alive.
This is your color for florals that need weight, cheeks in portraits, bold accents, warm shadows, and those little details that make a painting feel like it has a pulse.
#335 Mossy Jade
Mossy Jade is quiet and grounded. A muted granulating green that looks like moss growing where it has permission to take its time. It is soft, natural, and calming, and it does not scream “look at me I’m green.” It just exists, like nature does.
Perfect for foliage, earthy compositions, subtle botanical work, and mixing. It also behaves beautifully in layered washes, where the granulation creates that organic texture that makes everything feel more real.
#323 Smoky Rosewood
Smoky Rosewood is the most mysterious one in the palette. A dusty plum with brown undertones and a muted red glow underneath, like driftwood that has been softened by years of salt, wind, and waves. It feels worn, grounded, and a little dramatic, but in a quiet Scandinavian way.
This is the color for aged wood, shadows with personality, vintage florals, textured backgrounds, and paintings that need depth without becoming heavy.
